Rural Vermont’s Annual Meeting & Celebration is just around the corner, and this year, we look forward to heading to southern Vermont!
Join us at the Evening Star Grange in Dummerston Center on November 5th for live old-time banjo and fiddle music by Nathaniel Rowan and Nat Paine, a shared meal, an opportunity to meet and welcome our incoming Board members, an update on Rural Vermont’s priorities and plans, and good old time with friends and neighbors.
What to bring? We’ll provide the meal, and you bring a salad, side, or dessert. FYI- The Grange has no dishwasher, so please make our clean-up simpler by bringing your own place setting!
This event is BYOB, so bring your beverage of choice.
This year, we bring back our popular fall raffle, featuring some very special prizes! Tickets are available right now through 11/4, and then onsite at the Annual Meeting where we will draw three winners. Winners need not be present. This year’s prizes are:
$100 gift card for Darn Tough VT-made, guaranteed-for-life socks
Horse-drawn sleigh ride for ten at Fair Winds Farm in Brattleboro (value $120)
Gift basket of granola and chocolate confections from Nutty Steph’s in Middlesex (value $110)
As part of our short business meeting, current members will vote on our 2018-20 Board slate:
Christine Bourque of Blue Heron Farm, Grand Isle; Kate Bowen of Meadowdale Farm, Putney; John Cleary of Cleary Family Farm, Plainfield; Corie Pierce of Bread & Butter Farm, S.Burlington/Shelburne; and Nathaniel Miller from Ned’s Best Beef in Northfield . View Board candidate bios here.
While there will be no admission fee, we will heartily welcome your Rural Vermont support in other ways! The Annual Meeting is a great time to contribute to Rural Vermont’s year-end fundraising campaign, pick up some Rural Vermont merchandise, and get your raffle tickets in the final hours before the drawing!
As always, Rural Vermont’s Annual Meeting is sponsored by all of our 2018 Partner Members.
