MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRACTICIONERS
Jane Mann - Somatic Therapies, Introduction to Nia
More about Jane: I'm a Somatic Practitioner ("soma" is Greek and has come to mean "the body living in it's wholeness"- which I just love) so- when we work together - in every session, we bring the body into the conversation. I love helping people feel more at home in themselves and their bodies in gentle ways. And I like starting fires under people too! I love to dance, spend time in nature, eat good food and be a goof ball. Working with our bodies to welcome more joy, power, play and pleasure is my jam. My background is in Occupational Therapy and I was an OT in Scotland for several years before diving deeper into yoga, massage bodywork, coaching and somatic experiencing. All of which have supported and molded me.

Steen Croitoru - CMT, Integrated Massage Therapist - they/them
More about Steen: At Mettā Massage I strive to provide a safe and nurturing space to center and tune inward. I believe our bodies and spirits have the inherent ability to heal when we can listen to what they need. My goal is to provide a space to practice this deep listening, allowing your nervous system the opportunity to release and let go.
Mettā is the Pali word for loving-kindness and is a meditation practice I incorporate into massage. Practicing mettā cultivates friendliness and connection, as I send you wishes of happiness, ease and warmth. I have been practicing meditation for 6 years and believe that so much of the time we move through this world not aware of what we are really experiencing. My desire to integrate mindfulness into my everyday life brought me to massage therapy. It's a chance to practice being present and to help others become more embodied as well.
I graduated from Balance Massage School in Waterbury, Vermont in 2023. Balance has a heart-centered approach to massage. There, we learned how to approach massage meeting the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. Whether you are coming to massage for a specific ailment, looking to process stored emotions, or simply a place to practice being present, I hope to provide a safe space for everyone. https://www.steencroitoru.com
